Pahang (Historical Site)





Pahang is known as the largest state in peninsular Malaysia and is located on the East Coast. The state of Pahang is divided into 11 administrative districts and has a population of about 1,572,700 million. Pahang is known for its specialty of 'ikan patin masak tempoyak'. Apart from cooking, it is also known as a tourist attraction with many attractions such as historical site. Among the historical sites available are the Sultan Ahmad Shah Mosque, Museum Sungai Lembing, Sultan Abu Bakar Museum and so on. So I will share with you all about this place.


1. Masjid Sultan Ahmad Shah

The Sultan Ahmad Shah Mosque is situated in Kuantan, Malaysia. It is named after the recorded Sultan Ahmad Al'Muadzam Shah, who established Pahang present regal family in 1980. This mosque faces city's wide civil field, an appreciated open green region encompassed likewise bu other impressive and heritage from the pioneer to the advanced time. It also vacation destination with the mosque as focal point. This mosque is worked in a modernized Ottoman-Moorish Islamic style.                                     



2. Museum Sungai Lembing

Museum Sungai Lembing was established to commemorate the glory of the Sungai Lembing as the richest tin producing town in the state of Pahang. In the past, this city was call El-Dorado in Malaya because therein lies a village British officer who deals in Kenai River Valley. However, since 1984 all these luxurious have disappeared as a result of falling tin prices. The uniqueness of the museum is that it is housed in a former quarry building that still retains the architectural features of the English era.




3. Sultan Abu Bakar Museum

T o get a good grasp on the history of Pahang, must start with a visit to the state museum. Located at Pekan, Pahangg, the museum has a well documented history of the state  and its royal house. It was constructed in the lte 1920 by the British Government. It was formally  opened by the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah on October 21st 1976 and it was named after his father.
