Hi and assalamualaikum, so today we will show to you guys some of Sarawak's traditional foods. Stay tuned!
1. Sarawak Laksa
2. Manok Pansoh
Manok Pansoh is a dish where is chicken meat that cooked in bamboo. The chicken meat is filled with water which is later will be soup because it need to put with some seasoning. The main ingredients to make this manok pansoh is chicken, garlic, red onion, lemongrass, ginger, bungkang leaves, and red chillies. This dishes is created from Iban and Bidayuh people. This dishes always prepare during festivals, such as Gayak Dawai which is a thanksgiving festival marking a bountiful harvest.
3. Sarawak Layer Cake
Sarawak Layer Cake was served in Sarawak during on special occasions. The cake at least must have two colours in it and it can be cooked in oven or microwave. The main ingredients to make this cake is butter or vegetable oil, milk, eggs and jam. More detailed cakes often require special moulds to maintain the perfect layer thickness. Many people loves this cake because of its delicious taste and various colours in it that can excite people.
